		<description>Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your reply. It is always great to hear from a fellow speed reading enthusiast.

From extensive testing over the last 33 years, Richard Welch discovered that the majority of people who actually go through a speed reading course, like Evelyn Wood's training, actually stop using speed reading only 2 or 3 months after learning how to do it. Simply because most people can't consciously grasp that speed reading actually works. Now, because they don't really believe they can do it, they ultimately stop using it.

The reason why I am so passionate about Richard Welch's training is that it deals directly with the subconscious mind and removes the conscious mind out of the picture. Plus the reading speed that can be achieved literally starts at 25,000 words per minute and increases from there, which is truly amazing.

Thank you again for your comment, I wish you all the best.

<description>I'm glad to see that you are spreading the speed reading gospel!

I've found the biggest stumbling block for people cognitively is accepting the idea that you can absorb more information quickly, as if there is something magical about comprehension from reading at a slower rate.

I work as a journalist and am often encouraging the interns, many of whom are college students and recent graduates, to learn how to do it.

This may be somewhat at cross purposes to your objectives, and I do refer them to Evelyn Wood's book, rather than a course!

Good luck.
